I purchased this group of books to read VR Marks two stories. I was not disappointed. In fact I found another author, who's books were very good. Regan Black has piqued my interest and I will be reading the other books in her U I series which I have already purchased. I will also be looking forward to the next book in Miss Marks series. I recommend this group of books to anyone who likes intrigue and romance together.Product details

The Sheriff's Proposal by V.R. Marks We meet Sheriff Ben Cochran and Ruth Williams who owns the local dinner in The Thief - VR's first novel. Ruth was away on a cruise in the first book but her life was threatened by the bad guy who was after her niece. We find out that Ben and Ruth have been having a secret affair and that worked just fine for Ruth. But for Ben after the threat on Ruth's life he realizes he doesnt want to live without her in his life - he wants the world to know they are together and proposes to her. Ruth who is in shock turns the proposal down. But the Sheriff decides he will just wait until Ruth comes around to his way of thinking. This was a nice short story to give us the background on Ben and Ruth's relationship and also showed us where the other couples were and gave us a quick glimps of Ava before her book The Hostage A sneak peak at the first chapter of The Thief is at the end.
Saving Christmas Day by V.R. Marks Ross and Allie (from The Thief) are enjoying Christmas morning together, something Ross never really celebrated growing up but now that he's found Allie he's warming up to the holiday. FBI Agent Dale Nichols has a situation that comes up that he needs Ross's help on. While Ross is out trying to make sure that one of Dale's informants isnt getting himself into trouble, Dale who really isnt in the Christmas spirit is still at the office when the fire alarm goes off. Most of this book is the set up for Dale's story which is coming out next year. Heather Morris who is J.C. (Carson) sister from The Hostage, has information she desperatly needs to get to Dale without her family knowing. While we dont find out what that information is your interest is definatly peaked.
